CRAZINESS: I always get really anxious this time of year. It's the last 10 days of school....exemption forms, grades, field trips, special celebrations, exams, review sheets, closing out the classroom, textbooks, boxing materials up, cleaning up, etc..... These days FLY by. And, it seems like this year just started. The kids are nuts and the teachers are whack jobs, too. Teachers want it quiet and orderly so they can take care of their business and the students are LOUD and hyper!!!! Ughhhh. Come on May 30th! I'm reminded why we need our breaks :)

Cinco De Mayo..TAKS ...and Summer Countdown!
All these proved to be perfect reasons to have a teacher/friend get together yesterday. Several friends came over yesterday afternoon to "chill out" ---eat----sit by the pool-----and just unwind. How fun was that? Really fun. It's a definite "do again" thing.
TAKS testing was over last week for teachers and students...we have only 17 days until school is out and "why not?" Cinco de Mayo..............

Are we getting older? Or is time just going by faster?
A little of both........ getting older, yes. Time flying by faster......yes.
We can't believe that it's been 18 years since we said "I do". Wow. In some ways...so much has happened during the course of the years it does seem like 18 years...however, it also seems like yesterday that we were living in Dayton. A move, a job change, the birth of Collin, new pets, several hurricanes, high school graduations for the girls............. a lot of water under the bridge. I love growing older with my best friend!

We ate one of our favorite sandwich places in Lake Charles for our "anniversary dinner" Monday. Jerry couldn't believe that I wanted to go to Darrells. They have the most amazing roast beef sandwiches on these buttery, crusty rolls and jalepeno mayo. Can you tell that Paula Deen and I would get along beautifully????
